This page contains all of our Covid-19 and other important announcements. Please check this page regularly for updates.


We will be closed 5th-14th February. Last orders placed by 6pm Thursday 4th February.  We will process orders, respond to emails and telephone messages placed during this time on Monday 15th February.

We will be closed 9th-15th March.  Last orders placed by 6pm on Monday 8th March. We will process orders, respond to emails and telephone messages placed during this time on Tuesday 16th March.


We hope you are keeping well during these unprecedented times. We are able to continue to work safely within current government guidelines processing your orders as quickly as we can and within the restrictions posed by the C-19 crisis.

Business Hours

Our normal opening hours for telephone and email enquiries are Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm. This may change from week to week, as we attend medical appointments. We will show any changes on this page, and the voicemail message will advise when we will be available. 

In line with government advice to stay at home we have suspended collection of orders until further notice.

We hope to resume visits to our premises to test looms when it is safe to do so. For the time being please telephone if you want to discuss looms or equipment. We may be able to arrange a video demonstrationfor looms and can certainly answer questions on equipment and yarns.

Contacting us by phone

If you prefer to place your order by phone or just fancy a chat, we welcome your calls and look forward to hearing from you. If we can't answer the phone please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can. If you wish to discuss Toika or Ashford looms or equipment please get in touch.

Stock updates

We have had new stocks of New Lamark Wool and have updated the website this week with new colours, new names and availability. New yarns have been added to the website and we will have updated the website with new colours of 16/2 Linen  from Garnhuset. We are now stocking Gist Duet and Mallo.

We keep good stocks, and items that are marked as "in stock" are in stock and available to be despatched to our customers. Some stock may need winding or be at our store so make take a little longer to despatch.

We are still integrating several new product lines. As they are added The front page of the website will show new products.

We will continue to post within the restrictions of our sorting office, their opening hours are limited to early morning excluding Wednesday. We always aim to process and post orders as quickly as possible but this may not be until the next posting day after you placed your order.

Posting days are currently Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until further notice. 

Where's my parcel?

We generate an email to you once we have sent your parcel to the sorting office. Once the parcel has left we can do nothing to influence when or how it is delivered, and we can only track where your parcel is if you have requested and paid for a tracked or guaranteed service. If your order is time critical we advise that you get in touch to discuss which options are available.  Please allow for longer delivery times because of much larger volumes of parcels in the delivery networks, staff shortages and revised working practices. Unfortunately there are still significant delays in delivery times.

Royal Mail

All Royal Mail services may be subject to delay because of higher than normal absence levels amongst staff. Here is a link to Royal Mail's statement (opens in new tab or window).


Parcelforce have restored their delivery service guarantees on express24 and express48 services. You can read their Covid-19 update here (opens in new tab or window).

Please contact us by phone before placing your order if you want to use a guaranteed service and we will quote the price for delivery.


European deliveries

Because of uncertainty about cross-channel transport and post-Brexit delays we have temporarily suspended orders for delivery to European addresses.
