We hope you are keeping well during these unprecedented times. We are able to continue to work safely within current government guidelines processing your orders as quickly as we can and within the restrictions posed by the C-19 crisis.

Business Hours, contacting us by phone or email and arranging visits.

We are open Monday to Friday, 9-5 but cannot always answer the phone or respond to emails immediately. If you would like us to call you back please leave us a message and we will do so as soon as we are able, but it may not be on the same day. Opening hours may also change from week to week, as we attend medical appointments. We will keep the Covid-19 announcements page, phone message and banner on the website updated.  Please click on the link on the banner to see up to date information.  

We will be closed this  Friday 21st January 2022. Orders will be processed on Monday.

We can now offer Click and Collect from our premises in Lutterworth and resume visits to our premises to test looms by appointment only. Please telephone if you want to arrange a visit, test or discuss looms or equipment or to arrange a collection.  We can arrange a video demonstration for looms if you prefer not to travel and can certainly answer questions on looms, equipment and yarns. 

If you prefer to place your order by phone or just fancy a chat, we welcome your calls and look forward to hearing from you. If we can't answer the phone please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can. If you wish to discuss Toika or Ashford looms or equipment please get in touch. We keep good stocks of Toika reeds and some equipment. Toika reeds fit most makes of loom including Ashford and Louet, please phone if you cannot see what you are looking for on the website, we may well have it in stock.

Stock updates

We still have orders from our some of suppliers in progress. We expect another delivery of Indian Silk in the next few weeks. The website will be updated as soon as it arrives and we have unpacked it.

Some products are still out of stock at our suppliers,  we do have back orders in place which means we don't miss out when stock arrives.  We are now stocking Gist Duet and Mallo  and have added the new colours  to the range. We are still adding some stock to our Winter Sale, check the website for updates.

We try to keep good stocks, and items that are marked as "in stock" should be in stock and available to be despatched to our customers. Some stock may need winding or be at our store so make take a little longer to despatch. We  have updated the website with new colours and yarns from our Swedish supplier Garnhuset. We  now have 20/2  wool from this supplier, and the webshop has been updated. Subscribers to Jane Stafford's Online Guild can find many of  the yarns she uses on her course in our shop. We can also suggest sources for yarns that we do not stock. Please ring if you can't find want you are looking for. We now have over 90 colours of Garnhuset 8/2 cotton and the full colour range of 16/2 linen. All grown and or processed in Europe and Turkey and delivered to us by sea and road.  

Where's my parcel?  Updated 22nd January 2022

We will continue to post within the restrictions of our sorting office,  their opening hours are limited to early morning only.  We always aim to process and post orders as quickly as possible but this may not be until the next posting day after you placed your order at the earliest. Stock that is kept at our store or yarn that needs to be wound will take longer to be ready for despatch. Posting days are have been revised and are now mornings only Mondays to Friday until further notice, this means that orders placed over the weekend may not be posted until Tuesday.  Orders that are too big or heavy for Royal Mail are sent with Parcel Force and will only be sent Monday to Friday. The day of despatch will depend on when you placed your order and the local collection time which is variable.  There will be information at the checkout if posting will be delayed. 

We charge for standard first or second class Royal Mail services for all orders that meet the small parcel weight and measurment requirements. Heavier or larger orders are sent using Parcel Force. The options available for your order are listed for selection at the checkout.  Some items are priced with delivery costs included. When this is available the information will be in the item description and you will be able to select  'Free Postage' at the checkout,  if you select a postage option you will be charged for this. Our system generates an email to you once we have your parcel wrapped and labeled ready to be taken to the sorting office.  Due to restricted opening hours you may get a despatch email  before we have dropped off your parcel.  The tracking number sent with your despatch email is generated by Royal Mail as a means of identifying  the parcel once it is in their network.  It will only update when the package has been delivered or an attempt at delivery has been made. Once the parcel has left we can do nothing to influence when or how it is delivered.

We can only track where your parcel is if you have requested and paid for a tracked or guaranteed service. If your order is time critical we advise that you get in touch to discuss which options are available.  Please allow for longer delivery times, there are still much larger volumes of parcels in the delivery networks, staff shortages and revised working practices. Unfortunately due to increasing Covid infection rates,  holidays and staff shortages  there are still delays in delivery times in some areas as staff shortages occur.

Royal Mail

Parcelforce

Parcelforce have restored their delivery service guarantees on express24 and express48 services. You can read their Covid-19 update here (opens in new tab or window).


Please contact us by phone before placing your order if you want to use a guaranteed service and we will quote the price for delivery.

 

Deliveries oustide of the UK.

Complications in sending parcels  since the 1st January 2021 have  caused us to suspend all deliveries outside of the UK until further notice. We apologise for the disappointment this may cause. We will review this decision regularly and updates will be posted on this page.
