New Lanark Wool
Traditionally Spun Yarn – Powered by Hydro Electricity – Made in Scotland.
A lovely range of wool in a mixture of dyed and natural shades. Spun on traditional machinery at New Lanark Mill a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We are delighted to be stocking this product. The production and winding methods of this yarn mean that weights are variable and the yarn has not been washed. Please read the information in the 'Description' section under each colour for more information. You will find information on suggested setts, metric and imperial counts and lengths under the 'Further Infomation' tab which will help you plan your project. If you need more information please get in touch.
The photograph is of a piece of cloth I wove on 8 shafts in deflected double weave. The intention for this piece is for it to be cut in half and sewn together to make a blanket but for now it remains in the UFO basket!
